Profile Writing Process

To be completely honest I haven't really done a lot of work on this project so far. Today in class the activity we did really helped me clear up exactly what I am going to talk about. I knew I wanted to talk about my dad and how he has used his hard work and determination to rise from the bottom of a company to the President and CEO of that same company (both McNerney Management Group, Inc. and Columbia Management Group. It is his positive attitude and motivation that I have admired form a young age. Some brought up a good point today that I should talk about where his attitude and motivation came from. Another person suggested that I talk about how his career path has guided me and my work ethic today, and I definitely think this is something I am going to address in my profile.

Now that I know exactly what I am going to talk about in my profile it is time for me to do a little research and interviewing to get the answers I need to fill in the blanks. I plan on talking/interviewing my dad with the questions I intend to tackle in my profile. After I am done with the interview process I plan on outlining my ideas so then I will be able to easily write the profile. The next step I will then take will be to evaluate my work and make any corrections that may be necessary. I will also need to find photos that express exactly who my father is.

Someone made a very good comment today that dealt with me making sure I stay objective in this profile since I am profiling my dad. I belief this shouldn’t be too difficult but it something that I will definitely have to keep in my mind. I am excited to dig deeper into how my dad was motivated to achieve the level of success he has today!
