Tornado Warnings

Wow today was a very interesting day when it came to weather. It was sunny when I decided to lay down for a nap and then I was awoken from my light sleep to the sound of the tornado siren and I look outside to find that the sky turned dark and greenish. Our house is the only one in our neighborhood with a basement (luckily we have one) so a bunch of our friends came over to hang out in our basement. It got a little scary there for a little bit when it started to hail, but luckily the storm didn't do much damage to the south side of Columbia. I know some people that live on the north side and they had lots of damage, windows were blown out, cars damages, and more.

We then thought it was over....but it wasn't. We were all gathered around the TV watching Desperate Housewives when the show was continually broken into with weather updates of strong tornadic cells. I just hope all of this crazy weather clears out of our area before I go to bed because the tornado sirens are not very close to our house making it hard to hear.
